Farmer’s PAN misused, transactions worth 143 crores
Sarwad (Ajmer) farmer Ramraj Chaudhary received a GST notice on April 3 and discovered his PAN was misused to open a fake firm, ‘Neetiya Exim’, and a Kotak Bank account in Mumbai in 2020–21. Transactions worth Rs 143 crore were made.
A 12th-pass farmer, Ramraj said he never visited Mumbai or opened any firm. Despite complaints to local and cyber police, no FIR was registered. He is now mentally distressed.
Bhinay farmer Omprakash Gurjar received GST and CID notices in Jan–Feb 2025 over Rs 1.26 crore transactions from an IDBI Bank account in Mumbai. He had given his PAN, Aadhaar, and photo to Chothmal Gurjar for a bike loan, which were misused to open the account.
His mobile and email were not linked. He never visited Mumbai or opened any account. Four notices and CID visits have mentally harassed the family. Despite approaching local police, no action was taken. He has now filed a complaint with SP Vandita Rana.
90 lakh fraud using labourer’s documents
Delhi Gate resident and labourer Bhagwan Das Sahu was lured with a job offer during the COVID-19 crisis and gave his documents to Deepak Khatik. These were misused to open a fake company in Mumbai and conduct Rs 90 lakh transactions via a Kotak Mahindra Bank account.
He learned of the fraud through a GST notice. After no police action, he approached SP Vandita Rana. His grieving family, already reeling from their daughter’s death, broke down while seeking justice.
