The 50th Meeting of the GST Council was held on July 11, 2023 in New Delhi, under the chairpersonship of the Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
Amendments are proposed for Rule 64 and FORM GSTR-5A of the CGST Rules, 2017. These changes will mandate OIDAR service providers to include information regarding supplies made to registered individuals in India in their return filed in FORM GSTR-5A. This modification aims to facilitate the monitoring of tax payments, which are due on a reverse charge basis, by the registered individuals in India for the supplies they receive from OIDAR service providers.
