The 50th Meeting of the GST Council was held on July 11, 2023 in New Delhi, under the chairpersonship of the Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
The Council has proposed the inclusion of Rule 163 in the CGST Rules, 2017, which outlines the procedure and requirements for the consent-based sharing of information of registered individuals from the common portal to other systems. Additionally, the Council has suggested issuing a notification under Section 158A of the CGST Act, 2017, designating “Account Aggregators” as the systems with which information will be shared through the common portal.
