The GST Council’s 52nd meeting was held in Delhi on October 07, 2023, under the chairpersonship of the Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
The GST Council recommends to issue circulars to provide clarity on determining the place of supply for specific services, namely:
- Supply of service of transportation of goods Transportation of goods, including mail or courier services, when either the supplier’s or recipient’s location is outside India;
- Supply of advertising services;
- Supply of the co-location services.
The GST Council’s recommendation aims to provide clarity on determining the place of supply for specific services, and streamlining compliance for businesses involved in international transportation, advertising, and co-location services.
