GSTN enables UPI and Credit/Debit Card Payments for GST—now live in 23 States/UTs; Manipur added

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on August 08, 2025 has expanded e-payment options on the GST Portal, allowing taxpayers to pay GST dues via UPI and debit/credit cards. The facility is currently live in 23 States/UTs with a pan-India rollout to follow.

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal.

Payment rails & partner banks

  • Modes: All UPI apps; Debit/Credit cards on RuPay, Mastercard, Visa, Diners.
  • Banks: Axis Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bandhan Bank*, ICICI Bank*, Dhanlaxmi Bank^, Karnataka Bank^, Karur Vysya Bank^.
    * Card payments only | ^ UPI payments only

Manipur update: Card payments available via Bandhan Bank and IDFC FIRST Bank; UPI enabled via IDFC FIRST Bank.

How to pay

  1. Log in to the GST PortalPayments.
  2. Choose UPI or Debit/Credit Card and select a listed bank/PSP.
  3. Complete payment; challan is generated instantly.

Note: Remaining States/UTs and additional banks will be onboarded soon.
