The DGFT vide Notification No. 01/2015-2020, dated April 11, 2021, amended Chapter 96 to Schedule II of the ITCHS Export policy, to prohibit the export of Injection Remdesivir and Remdesivir Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (“API”) falling under the ITCHS Codes mentioned below or falling under any other HS Code with immediate effect, due to rising cases of Covid-19 in the country, in a following manner:

- Further, clarified that the provision under Para 1.05 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20 (“FTP”) regarding transitional arrangement is not applicable for the above-mentioned Notification, which means the import/export on or after the date of such restriction will be not be allowed even if the exporter has a commitment.
