Background:
Earlier, the CBIC vide Notification No. 20/2018-Customs (ADD) dated April 10, 2018 (“Notification No. 20”), which imposed definitive Anti-Dumping Duty (“ADD”) on imports of fishnet or fishing nets originating from China or Bangladesh and imported into India, which was effective for a period of five years.

Now, the CBIC vide Notification No. 01/2023-Customs (ADD) dated January 6, 2023 has issued amendments in Notification No. 20, in order to further extend the levy of ADD on fishnet or fishing nets originating in or exported from China PR from April 9, 2023 to July 9, 2023.
