The CBIC vide Notification No. 03/2024 – Customs dated January 22, 2024, has amended Notification No. 50/2017 dated June 30, 2017, pertaining to customs and tariffs. The amendment specifically modifies the entry related to Spent catalysts and ash containing precious metals (S. No. 364A) by substituting the existing entry of “10%” in column (4) with a new entry. This exercise of power is deemed necessary in the public interest under the Customs Act, 1962 and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
