The CBIC vide Notification No. 35/2020 – Customs dated September 30th, 2020 has increased the Basic Customs Duty (“BCD”) on Open cell (15.6” and above) for use in the manufacture of Liquid Crystal Display (“LCD”) and Light Emitting Diode (“LED”) TV panels of heading 8529 from nil to 5%. Further, omitted the clause (d) of the first proviso which read as:

This notification shall come into force with effect from October 1, 2020.
