The CBIC vide Notification No. 42/2020-Customs, dated November 11, 2020, amended Entry No. 515B of the Notification No. 50/2017 –Customs dated June 30, 2017 to increase the Basic Custom Duty (“BCD”) on specified components/ parts used in manufacture of Open cell of Light Emitting Diode (“LED”) and Liquid Crystal Display (“LCD”) television panels of heading 8529, from nil to 5%.
