The DGFT vide Notification No. 16/2023 dated July 03, 2023, has made amendments to the import policy conditions for items classified under ITC(HS) code 07019000 of Chapter 07 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy). As per the amendment, the import of potatoes from Bhutan is now permitted without requiring an Import License. This revised policy will remain in effect until June 30, 2024.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the policy condition of item under Chapter 07 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy):

Effect of the Notification:
