The Ministry of Finance vide Notification No. 01/2020 – Central Excise (N.T) dated May 14, 2020 made certain amendments in Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme Rules, 2019. The following are the amendment made in the rule are as under:
- In rule 6 i.e. Verification by designated committee and issue of an estimate, etc., in sub-rule (2) for the words “within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of the declaration”, the words, figures and letters “on or before May 31, 2020” shall be substituted. Therefore, the due date for furnishing statements of the amount in FORM SVLDRS-03 is on or before May 31, 2020.
- In rule 6 i.e. Verification by designated committee and issue of an estimate, etc, in sub-rule (3), for the words “within thirty days of the date of receipt of the declaration under sub-rule(1) of rule 3, the words, figures and letters “on or before May 01, 2020” shall be substituted. Therefore, the estimate of the amount payable in FORM SVLDRS -02 is on or before May 01, 2020.
- In rule 7 i.e. Form and manner of making the payment:- the words “within a period of thirty days from the date of its issue”, the words, figures and letters “on or before the June 30, 2020” shall be substituted. Therefore, which specifies the due date for payment to be made in FORM SVLDRS-03 is on or before June 30, 2020.
Note: This amendment shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official gazette.
