Background:
Earlier, vide Notification No. 16/2020-Customs (ADD) dated June 23, 2020 Anti-dumping duty was imposed on import of “Flat rolled product of steel, plated or coated with alloy of Aluminium and Zinc” (“subject goods”), falling under headings 7210, 7212, 7225 and 7226 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 originating in, or exported from People’s Republic of China, Vietnam and Republic of Korea (“subject countries”), and imported into India.
The Anti-dumping duty was imposed on subject goods imported from subject countries for a period of five years, but later withdrawn vide Notification No. 07/2021 Customs (ADD) dated February 02, 2021 for the period commencing from the February 02, 2021 to the September 30, 2021.
Notification:
Now, Vide Notification No. 57/2021-Customs (ADD) dated September 30, 2021 the period of non-imposition of Anti-dumping duty on subject goods originating in, or exported from subject country is further extended till January 31, 2022 unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier.
