The CBIC vide Notification No. 62/2022-Customs, dated December 26, 2022 has issued exemption on certain goods from the levy of duty of customs or a portion of the applied rate of duty of customs and the Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess (“AIDC”) leviable under Section 124 of the Finance Act, 2021 (“the Finance Act“) in excess of the amount calculated at the rate specified therein, when imported into Republic of India from Australia.
