The DGFT vide Notification No. 01/2015-20 dated April 29, 2022 has issued amendment in the import policy of ITC (HS) Codes under tariff head 7112 under Chapter 71 (i.e. natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, precious metal, metals clad with precious metal and articles thereof, imitation jewellery, coin) of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy), with immediate effect, in order to restrict the import of certain goods related to waste and scrap of precious metals, in a following manner:
