Five drivers were booked by the detection of crime branch for stealing goods worth Rs 4.16 crore meant for export. The head of Banco Aluminium’s sales and business development filed the complaint against the container truck drivers for stealing their company’s products.
According to the complaint filed by Mandar Kale, his company exports products after sending it to Surat’s Hazira port in sealed containers. The complainant stated that the company had sent products in four containers meant to be exported to the Netherlands and three to Germany last month.
When the containers reached the Netherlands, the company there opened them and found cement bags in the place of the products that were to be received. In the other three containers, one was found to be empty. Banco Company officials then asked for information about the GPS that was fitted in the containers that went from Vadodara to Hazira.
The company found that the seven containers had stopped near Surat for about 3-4 hours and the drivers had broken the seals to steal the products worth crores of rupees. The crime branch booked Rinku Maharajdin, Anupamsinhm Prasadsinh, Sant Charan, Chandrabhaan and Govind Yadav for stealing the products.
