The DGFT vide Notification No. 38/2015-2020 dated October 6, 2020 amended Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020 (“FTP 2015-20”) to insert sub-para (d) in Para 4.25 of the FTP 2015-20 to disallow import of “tyres” under Duty Free Import Authorisation Scheme (“DFIA”) scheme. Para 4.25(d) reads as under:
“DUTY FREE IMPORT AUTHORISATION SCHEME (DFIA)
4.25 DFIA Scheme
(d) Import of Tyres under DFIA scheme is not allowed.”
