The State Goods and Services Tax (GST) (intelligence) sleuths carried out simultaneous inspections at seven outlets of an eatery chain on Saturday, following suspicion of tax evasion.
The raids were held at the outlets at Edappally, Kakkanad, Kaloor, Fort Kochi, Kalamassery, Perumbavoor and Muvattupuzha.
Officers said that inspection was based on the finding that their turnover declaration was not adequate. It is prima facie suspected that sales turnover worth at least Rs 10cr was not accounted , source said.
