As per the recent tweet of CNBC-TV18, Sources say the GST Council has approved Fitment Committee’s proposal for e-commerce operators (ECOs) such as Swiggy & Zomato to be made liable to pay GST on restaurant service supplied through them.
Changes to come into effect from January 1, 2022 to allow e-commerce operators to make software changes.
