
Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang on Friday said curbing and eliminating any possible revenue leakages is a continuous process, He mentioned various steps being taken by Sikkim Government.
‘Forest department has deployed mobile units for checking timber carrying vehicles along strategic roads for curbing any revenue leakages. Online ticketing for entry to Himalayan Zoological Park and other Parks,’ said CM.
According to Tamang, ‘Installation of prepaid Energy meters and meter checking by mobile revenue squad, Mobility office Van with internet to provide mobility to Commercial Tax team for checking tax evasion and taxable goods under GST, Online collection of supervision charges on heavy vehicles at Melli and Rangpo checkposts are some of the main steps for combating leakages.’
CM assured the members of the Assembly that the Government will continue to work towards the goal to stop revenue leakages.
Chief Minister was replying to the starred question of MLA DR Thapa BJP during the question hour of the Legislative Assembly session.
