In Mumbai, the State Cell Department’s GST division apprehended a duo from Khalapur, Raigad, over an alleged scam amounting to Rs 6.4 crore. The suspects, Kamlesh and Bhavna Jain, hold directorial positions at Monopoly Innovation Private Limited based in Khalapur. Despite their arrest, their legal representative contended that the tax credit involved is Rs 5 crore, making the case eligible for bail. Subsequently, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Pravin Modi ordered the couple’s judicial detention till April 29.
