Haryana government hardens on GST fraud, 12 thousand 314 firms fall

Chandigarh, Haryana Government has become strict on GST (Goods and Services Tax) fraud. The Haryana government has started to clamp down on fraudulent business firms. The registration of 12 thousand 314 firms has been canceled by the state government. This has caused panic among traders and traders. Physical survey or inspection has been made mandatory for all new GST dealers in the state within 15 days from the date of registration. In the survey of one lakh 13 thousand 590 newly registered taxpayers, 16 thousand 967 taxpayers were absent. Of this, registration of 12 thousand 314 has been canceled and Rs 63.12 crore has been recovered. Apart from this, Rs 38.72 crore has been recovered in 4 thousand 325 cases of roadside checking (fine). In a review meeting of the Excise and Taxation Department, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that to prevent tax evasion and improve the GST collection, a statewide campaign should be launched to cancel the registration of left out firms and fake firms.

 A person with a turnover of more than Rs 40 lakh is required to register in the GST system. CM Manoharlal said that officers should be appointed who would personally go to at least 50 registered dealers in different districts who have not filed returns. Additional Chief Secretary of the department Sanjeev Kaushal told the Chief Minister that there were 2.25 lakh taxpayers in the VAT system in the state, which has now increased to 4.48 lakh in the GST system. The department has recovered Rs one thousand 262 crore. During this period, 2058 cases of fake transitional were detected from which Rs 262.49 crore was recovered. Three thousand 85 cases of mismatch of GSTR-1 vs GSTR 3B and 15 thousand 220 cases of mismatch of GSTR-2A vs. GSTR-3B have been detected. 161.78 crore and 284.37 crore were recovered from the accused respectively. Similarly, four thousand 134 fake e-way bills were identified and Rs 451.75 crore was recovered. Haryana has registered a spectacular growth rate of 30.54 percent under GST collection from July to October, which is the highest in the country.

 During this period, six thousand 930 crore rupees have been raised as GST. Six thousand 160 taxpayers have been identified in the state, who contribute about 80 percent of the total state GST revenue. A contribution of Rs 4602.56 crore per month to GST in the financial year 2018-19. The total collection of the state is Rs 55,231 crore. The per capita GST collection in the state is 21 thousand 744.49 rupees, while the national per capita GST collection is nine thousand 370.33 rupees. Thus the GST collection in Haryana is two and a half times the national average.
