Steel City, has been overtaken by the Pesticide sector in tax collection. In the last 11 months, the sales tax department has collected Rs 972.07 lakh from GST (Goods and Service Tax) from Pesticide. At the second place, tax of Rs 851.88 lakh has come from the service sector. That is, both the departments have filled tax of about 1823 crore. Security agencies, service providers, hotels and restaurants are among the sectors from which GST is coming into traffic in the service sector. Surprisingly, stainless steel works in multi-traffic in Hisar and till now it has received tax of Rs 818.73 lakh only.
However, tax is collected from 21 areas in Hisar if overall tax is observed. In 11 months, a total of Rs 5362.79 lakhs from all these areas have come to the state exchequer in the form of tax, while there is one month left for the financial year to end. Last year, the sales tax department had a tax collection of Rs 5301.23 lakh in GST. In such a situation, the tax collection has increased this time.
